Default boost controller

i have a facelift 97 impreza turbo 2000 uk with an sti intercooler, blitz super sound dump valve, blitz sus induction kit, scorpion stainless steel 2.5" cat back exhaust system and a manual boost controller and of course got the boost turned up. i get popping from the exhaust when easing off the throttle, do i have it turned up too much and am i causing problems with it turned up to high boost?

Popping will be over run, this is causing by you dump valve.

but turning your boost up without checking can cause car running lean, so can cause damage over time.

what does it mean when its running lean? so best thing is to turn down boost a bit to prevent damage over time...

Running lean - Not enough fuel.

If you crank the boost up too high without proper fuel tuning, your air/fuel ratio will be out which can cause premature engine wear over time.... or your engine will simply go bang.

Best way to be sure is to install an AFR gauge kit and o2 sensor.

I didnt see a remap in that list... best to get rid of the boost controller and plumb it back into standard boost controller... Unless your running a remap keep it standard, these car engines are easily broken without the correct parameters set before hand
