Default Prodrive Performance Pack????

I Kinda like the idea of this for my Totally Standard my00 Turbo 2000, But, scouring the Bay and the numerous Impreza forums Im struggling to find the Parts available seperatly, so if \i were to buy aftermarket for the same sort of Power, where would I start, I think I like the Idea of the ppp as it was available from new, and I was Hoping the Exhaust if nothing else is Not gonna Upset my neighbours too much??? I suppose the reality is I want more Power, but I want to keep it as close to standard as Possible, is an Sti Exhaust any different, Is a Decat gonna make a huge difference in Power and Noise, sorry about this Guys, I been looking and all I have done is become more and more confused!!!!

Forget PPP.

For around £1000, you can do the following:-

Just swap the downpipe for a 2nd hand decat one (£70-90), get a second hand VF28 or 29 (£200-250 odd) in place of your TD04L (the 28 or 29 are not too far off the TD04 for spool up!).

Then get JGM to come to you for an EcuTeK custom remap (£600+VAT odd). Should get around perfectly safe 310-330bhp (and similar torque), and still be kind to your TY754 'box.

Sorted.

Or if you don't want to spend out on/change turbo, your exisitng TD04L, when mapped, will make around the 280/280 mark, with super quick spool up. Your choice...

The trouble with the PPP was that it wasn't a custom map, just a map that could be fitted onto any standard UK turbo with the other bits (Exhaust and intercooler hose). It only ever gave a small gain on a standard uk as well. Probabaly for warranty reasons. So these days I'd definately go for a custom map from a tuner, exhaust, air filter etc and you'll end up around 260BHP initially, then if you change the Turbo etc you will get even more. But each time you mod a tweak to the map will be required

Thats what i would do if it were me

That sounds more Like it, Im not searching for huge Power, its just with all the potential out there it seems silly to not atleast Explore, so what kinda Decat am I looking for, and will it butt upto my Standard exhaust, if Not, Id like a Quietish Exhaust, Truth is my Bro has just bought a v6 Golf and it sounds Beautiful, and the Scoob is incredibly quiet in Comparisom! Cheers for the Quick replies Guys, Its my First Scoob I absolutly Love it, and I only bought it on a Wym, Its due a Clutch first so as soon as I done that and all the Fluids iĺl be after the tuning goodies.

If you have the exisitng system (centre and back box), then the decat d/p won't change the overall timbre of the system. It might make it slightly louder though. It's the back box's design that ultimately controls the volume/note of the system.

Any fully decated T304 grade (or better) stainless steel designed for the Classic will fit between an OEM turbo and an OEM pattern centre section....

Excellent, so tell me about the different types of decat, any in Particular I should keep away from, and are there any Exhausts that are noted as being quiter then others?? I think for now itĺl be Clutch, fluids and service, then Decat, exhaust system, and Jgm, maybe turbo at a Later date.

You need one like the one shown at the top of this list:-

Best to get a fully open "bellmouth" job like that first one too.
