Default bailey dumvalve sounds like a small squeeky horn?

hi ,
when im driving my legacy gt 96p the dumpvalve dose the useuall hiss noise but right at the back end of it it makes the sound of a small squeeky horn {best way i can explain it soz} and it seems to be hissing constantly as if its not realising the preasure ,
could this be why sometimes my car banks and loses all power when i accelerate , because the blow of valve if im getting my terms correct isnt relising the air properly

many thanks mark

to all with know how ,

Sounds like its got an air leak. Perfect excuse to throw it in the bin. They really are no good for the car. Can you put your re-circ back on?

Im not too clued up on the legacy, with them being twin turbos.
Id look on ebay for a std re-circ dump valve, and then remove the baileys. Should be a straight forward change and will prob make your car run a lot better.

The dump valve will probably be in place on the primary (passenger) side. Have a look on ebay, probably a few floating about. If I remember correctly the standard re-circ valve has either an orange or yellow label.

half the problem you have is its a Bailey. They are well known for not being very good on subarus. Get shot of it and replace it with something better.
