Default bailey dumvalve sounds like a small squeeky horn?

hi ,
when im driving my legacy gt 96p the dumpvalve dose the useuall hiss noise but right at the back end of it it makes the sound of a small squeeky horn {best way i can explain it soz} and it seems to be hissing constantly as if its not realising the preasure ,
could this be why sometimes my car banks and loses all power when i accelerate , because the blow of valve if im getting my terms correct isnt relising the air properly

Sounds like its got an air leak. Perfect excuse to throw it in the bin. They really are no good for the car. Can you put your re-circ back on?

no not unless it will be under there ive just got the car can i just take it of or do i need parts pal

Im not too clued up on the legacy, with them being twin turbos.
Id look on ebay for a std re-circ dump valve, and then remove the baileys. Should be a straight forward change and will prob make your car run a lot better.

The dump valve will probably be in place on the primary (passenger) side. Have a look on ebay, probably a few floating about. If I remember correctly the standard re-circ valve has either an orange or yellow label.

half the problem you have is its a Bailey. They are well known for not being very good on subarus. Get shot of it and replace it with something better.
