Turbo timer and alarm
Thinking of getting a HKS TURBO TIMER*TYPE 1 soon but was just wondering what happens with the alarm
My car has a sigma 300 or what ever the standard cat1 version is, was dealer fitted I think
So what happens when you stop, get out the car and push the fob to arm, does it just keep running whilst locked?

Nope it doesn't arm whilst its running, but you can get a clifford alarm to do all sorts. So you can lock it and walk away whilst turbo on.
Mate had it on his, good bit of kit.
My last car had it set up so i could heat it all up before i got in,

The standard Sigma 300 surely will not arm whilst the engine is running, its a cat 1 alarm system, for that reason only it surely can't arm. Category 1 alarms have to conform to a standard and arming whilst engine running certainly isn't one of them.

This is what I was thinking but wasn't sure. But pointless if I have to wait for the timer to finish before I can lock the car. I might as well just sit in the thing sure an extra 40 secs

why are you wasting your money on a tat turbo timer. save it for a useful mod. driving the last couple of miles of your journey off boost negates the need for a turbo timer unless it's something you want to impress your mates with down the pub.

all u need to do is hard wire the turbo timer in fit a diode in the ignition line from the key move the fuel cut so it goes through a realy on the key side of the ignition move the ignition input of the alarm to the front side of the diode so when tt is running the alarm won't pick up ignition input and hey presto all done,
but the 2nd u touch any of the wire u invalidate the thatham approval and the alarm becomes null and void should the car be stolen,
this is the same for any cat:1 alarm, if it is not fitted in accordence with thatcham regs then prey it don't get knicked cus when found and inspected you will lose any right to a claim.......sorry for bad news
Mark
PS: i have been fitting alarms to thatcham regs for 15 years now of course you can have fitted to your car what you want as long as you inform the insurance company exactly what is fitted and what it does, you will be amazed how many cars are out there with alarms not fitted or running to what insurance companies think, i inpest a lot as well sometimes it's shocking
