I used motul 300 gearbox oil in my 99 uk turbo, and iirc i think it holds about 3.5 ltrs.

For my 2000 uk turbo i used comma SX75W-90 GL-5 gear oil, which was ok ,but i then added some ' prolong ' transmission fluid, and this quietened down the transmission wind even more than before after about 20 miles driving

But, before I go ones that work well with a worn synchro are Castrol Syntrax, Redline Lightweight Shock, Motul Gear300, Millers CRX NT and a few others. The one that does not work well with worn synchros is the Silkolene or Fuchs Syn5 75w-90, so steer clear of that.

Oilman-
My V5 Type R has just recently got very hard to select 1st (damn near impossible) 2nd & to a lesser extent 3rd. Clutch is fine.
Do you think an oil change would help? I'm unsure what oil is in the box at min.

Thanks for that. I'd go for the Motul Gear 300, it works well with the DCCD units.

Hi
When you register on our website, there is a dropdown menu of the clubs we support. Select Scoobynet from there, put your username or member number in the next box and then complete the registration. When you look at the site then, you should see the members prices above the normal prices. You pay the members prices, which include the 10% discount.
