Default i am going to build a monster

hi i have got a new 2.1 enginetuner 451bhp
i going to build a monster engine thinking of 650bhp what is the best way to go ie block pistons rods crank i was thinking of 2.2 cosworth with billet crank .that do i do to the heads v3 sti ,what can they take ,i heard it was 550bhp ,what do you do so they can take more.going to buy the bits ,bit by bit .i now 14mm head bolts but what else 2.0/2.1/2.35/2.5/2.6/ or 2.7 cheers mike

Best to discuss your options/budget with Alan/Martyn @ enginetuner...

What has a a new 2.1 enginetuner 451bhp engine got to do with a new build?

Hi matey if you are look at Scoobynet BHP leaderboard,almost everyone running 2.35 and Garrett GT35r and at least 650BHP,that's my thoughts
But i will recommend this discuss with Alan J or other engine builder

By my post I meant that a specialist will be best source to lean on for any advice re. a new build as they are the experts, and have been there, done that, and knows what works, etc.

The reason why I mentioned enginetuner again, was that he's (presumably?) gone to them for his existing engine, so it's not unreasonable to assume that he's in close proximity to them (plus the fact he's used to their way of dealing with him as a customer, etc., etc.).

EXACTLY! If they have already built your engine why not ask what they think. I'm sure getting it to that figure won't be hard but it will empty your pocket a little

save yourself some money mike and buy scottys.

hi rudi93 happy new year,i am going to get all the new engine bits over the nexted year bit by bit .as i am going to buy a new car may be 2.0 04 sti or 2.5 dont no yet



going to speak to enginetuner in new year looking at the leaderboard .yes you are right 2.35

what turbo are you running on your 2.1 now to get 451 bhp?

i have a sc46 billet turbo . mapped by martyn @enginetuner .in my classic ,it goes well



@ rudi93 going to keep it as the new car is a long way down the road .keep it as a track car

you can get 650bhp out of a 2.1 so you might be able to save some dosh when you speak to alan
