Default 423bhp on a VF34????

Been away from subaru's for a while but the last i knew there was no chance of getting that power figure from a vf34, whats everyone's opinion on this?
The car is a type r on ebay.....cant post a link as i'm on my phone and it wont do it.
Car also has apexi power fc, mongoose decat, headers, front mount, bigger injectors etc. All the usual stuff really

thanks

p.s. Also states its running 370bhp at 1.3bar on 2nd map.....possible?

No problem on the "right" dyno. If I could only count the number of 400bhp+ cars I dusted with my 351bhp 200sx..

Facts are, dynos are unreliable, and when people make their seat of the pants guesses, the numbers tends to be high.

Alright Martin, the Apexi only has one map, unless they mean it has 2 settings on the boost controller ?

Lol. I thought that but wasnt sure, dont think i'll bother going to look at it. They've done themselves few.favours anyway - the top of the radiator and the belt cover thingy are rusty on the engine bay pic, wouldnt take much to rub down and paint

Had a quick look on ebay, it sounds like the one I saw. I bought mine in Feb and looked at about 4 cars till I settled on the one I bought, there's s lot of rubbish out there.

Agree and you'd think if you'd spent enough to get over 400bhp it would be a bit tidier than that full stop really

423hp on a VF34? must be a 'Happy Dyno'. well if hes got the meth injection with other basic mods, I could believe it can run up to 380-390 maybe. But 420hp for a original VF34 is ridiculous

State of that engine bay!

Also, have a look on the enlarged pics at both the side shots it looks like both rear arches have been painted with magnolia in a 15cm 'rust hiding' arch.
