Hi,

Was hoping someone can shed some light on whats happened to my car.

I've got a V3 STI Type R, was drving along yesterday and decided to give it a bit of beans, when I put my foot down quite a loud sound came from under the bonnet, sounded like quite a violent air leak of some sort and the car didn't boost

I stopped incase I broke something nothing seemed up so I pulled off and tried boost and it worked, but a few minutes along the road I noticed something wasn't right.

On my boost gauge it goes from the bottom until the 0 and then instead of boosting it just makes a horrible noise, sorry I cant describe the noise as I'm scared to do it incase I'm causing damage

I've yet to try it today so heres hoping its fixed itself overnight

any idead ? Have I broke my turbo ?

If it was a hissing sort of noise whenever it would normaly boost then check all your boost pipes are still attatched and not split.

Sounds like the dump valve might be sticking open intermittently,
