dump valve no-longer making noise??
I know many people here are not great fans of noisy dump valves however i do like it when mine used to do it!! but it seemed to stop for a while today then started again but not as loud! im going to sound like a mong but not sure what type it is all i know is it makes a fluttering sound, its on my 2001 bugeye wrx wagon, many thanks a confused newby

If its a diaphragm type then it may have split.
If it a piston type may be sticking (will need opening up and cleaning)
Or your vac pipe may have disconnected itself, if it has reconnect it asap or you could be in trouble.

Very easy to strip mate, just be careful when undoing the bolts/screws as there will be a spring in there which will send everything flying.
