Poodling along duel carriageway at aroung 60mph this morning when CEL illuminates. Car is still driving fine. Go straight to AG Motors, Subaru specialist, who run a fault code check and no faults recorded. They try to reset the light, but it won't extinguish. Drive home and after a 15 mins stop, light is off.

I replaced the up pipe with a decatted one few weeks ago and mapper didn't have the 2 ohm resistor to replace the EGT sensor I . They're sending me one in the post.
If the EGT sensor is removed,does it show a fault code or as there is no sensor present, the CEL will illuminate and show no code?

Car is a UK 2005 WRX PPP with full decat, VF35 STI pinks and a Walbro pump, remapped
