Question *** Quick Question About Engine Change ***

Hey guys just helping putting an engine in with my mate. On his engine his coilpacks are on top and the engine he is putting in is a WRX 1995 and the coilpacks are on the side.

If you have one central coil pack and now have one with multi coil packs then the wiring loom will be wrong to make it work fella

you will need to remove the manifold and all ancillaries including wiring loom and swap then over for one and other.

You'd make it alot easier if you split the engine and use your own heads and manifold. Sensors work diffrent on the later cars. You've got a 97/98 engine and its not a straight fit.

Manifold (plus the sensors and wiring attached to it) is all you need to change. The heads are similar enough and will bolt onto either manifold fine.

the engine is a straight fit assuming the OP swaps all the parts needed including sensors.
