Default 94Wrx not starting in the cold

Ive done a search before writting this and couldnt find what i was looking for,

When my car is stone cold and the outside temp is around -1 or lower,
it doesnt like starting takes around 4-5 times then it starts but wount idle for around 30 seconds, then its fine,
when i go to start it fires but dies within a second and does this 3-4 times then it fires up.

on the search people were asking a similar question and getting a response that the temp sensor packing up.

my temp sensor seems fine but could it still be this?

Cold start sensor? Worth checking out especially if it's only problematic since this cold weather started

is the cold start sensor the one in the middle of the metal pipe that runs across the top of the block and has a brown type plug??

From memory i can't remember but i had this problem a couple of years ago on a Classic scoob i had. Try a decent used one as they should cost very little but do a search to make sure it's the correct sensor first.
