Default fault code P1410 ??

hi just had a fault code identified on my '06 sti,it came up as

P1410 secondary air combi valve open seized,

the engine check light comes on sometimes when cold and then tends to

go off later when engine has been run and is warm.where is this part located

and is there anything i can do to rectify the problem ?

could it be linked to the cold weather we're having ?

any help gratefully recieved

thanks in advance

Had this on my 06 wrx a few months ago, took it down to carnetix and we couldn't figure it out. eventually cleared after a couple of weeks and hasn't come back yet ??

May be worth going to a dealer to find out the real cause as we weren't convinced that code description was accurate.

Emailed you with the workshop manual extract and some advice did you not get that ?

if you have been doing short runs then I expect its condensation icing.

cheers

thanks bob for the email,

light has stayed out for the last 3 days, looks like it may have been

frozen condensation due to short journeys
