Default Hesitation / mis-fire on feather throttle

97 UK turbo with 150K miles, TD04 Hybrid turbo, standard injectors, new NGK platinum tipped plugs 0.75mm gap and new plug leads.

I changed the plugs & leads over the weekend. Leads are ‘High Performance’ certainly thicker than the old original ones but they were a present and I’m not sure on the make / spec.

I have developed a misfire / hesitation on very low throttle positions, ie from trailing throttle coasting, to mild acceleration I am experiencing a mis-fire.

When I accelerate harder there’s no problem.

Can anyone help point a finger? Could this be the coil pack not being up to the new plugs and leads? Its probably 65K miles old ~/ about 4 years.

Ta

Gap to 0.65mm and try that.
