i got it off someone that said it was a wrx classic, the ecu has the same 4 plugs, would they be the dash plugs and the loom is from a wierd uk or something, the wrx and sti have just about the same dash dont they?

thats an automatic wrx wiring loom the black plugs are for the auto gearbox ecu + shift lock unit and the other spares are for the loom that connects to the auto gearbox and abs etc. i think you might need to do some re-wiring for it to work in a manual which i assume yours is??

now that makes sense thanks very much,
another thing is, where the plug for the gearbox is it has 2 plugs instead of 1, and i looked at a few wiring loom files i have, and i noticed the auto box has 2 plugs,
ive striped everything off the car so i just need to get it running for now, not too worried about the other bits yet,
any idea what i need to do to get it to turn over?
