Default sti8 smoky exhaust help?

Right have noticed this more recently but could just be caused by the colder weather... i know these engines are quite smoky on cold start up anyway but this seems quite allot?

Its white smoke so not oil, i'v checked for leaks there are none, engine oil and level are perfect, runs and boosts just fine.

Cold start:

then after a bit of a drive and engine upto temp (75-85):

just seems quite alot to be normal, and if its not oil then excess water in the exhaust/bores? haven't driven over 50miles within the last week or so only been short journeys could this be the problem.

Cheers
Chris

Hi mate, it's probley more steam than smoke.
It seems to be as the cold weather sets in, and the recent damp conditions. It seems to affect stainless steel systems more.
If you want to test it, on a dry day, cover over your exhaust in a bag and wrap some elasic bands round it.
Take it off the next time you drive it, and its should be fine, no steam or smoke.

I did think that must be the case, as it being white i assumed it was just a moister build up in the system... was just a bit more then i was comfortable with coming out of my car haha.

I'l give that a go covering the exit and seeing what happens the next day
