single or twin turbo

Twin turbo's may be both smaller than a single turbo giving same power so possibly faster spool up? This would be a turbo for each pair of cylinders...
Sequential turbos as seen in Legacy B4 have a bit of a flat spot where the small one runs out and larger one takes over.
Wonder if anyone has done a twin turbo ( 1 per 2 cylinders ) on an Impreza!

I was thinking more along the lines of how the GTO works with both turbos spinning up at the same time but would this cause you to have almighty lag?

Twin scroll turbo's and avcs pretty much eliminate the use of twin turbo engines which use a smaller turbo and a bigger turbo, plus the legacy that used the twin turbo setup was not exactly the best....
