Default power delivery probs any advice

When i put my foot down in 4th and 5th i get the feeling that the power is not getting delivered properly!!! its as if the power comes and goes but the revs dont drop!! im slightly confused to this any body else had this? its in a 2001 bug eye wrx, didnt seem to affect top speed though as i got to 140mph ok!! on the autobahn.

could be the clutch slipping, mines just started to do this, tootling around is fine, but if you are cruising steady in 4th or 5th and decided to floor it, when gets onto boost they revs rise sharply b4 settling down

clutch doesnt sound cheap to replace!! shame only had her 2 weeks boo!!

It was only a suggestion.

I would'nt go changing clutches just yet.

Take it to a decent scoob specialist local to you and let them have a look at it, may be something simple.

If its like you say and power isnt coming in as smooth as you think it is, you shouldnt be taking it to 140mph, just incase its a maf or any other sensor starting to fail.

Id drive it carefully incase you end up giving yourself a massive repair bill..
