subaru wagon wrx impoort!!! help
i need some advise on what ecu to buy..
its an n reg wagon import.
runnning 10psi ish, and drops to 7psi ish. so i guessing its a uk ecu?
what ecu code do i need to make it run 1.1bar import (standard), with no fuel cut.
also if i buy new ecu with that spec will i need a chip etc for immobilizer!

You're right - the Phase1 Import Wagon had a 90 degree intake TD04. IIRC, it was only the UK Turbo Wagon of that era which had the TD05. It's been i while since i worked on one of those
OP - VFM upgrade to fit a TD05 and Z4 ecu

A classic wrx wagon has a td04 fitted to it as std and was detuned to 220ps opposed to the saloon which had a td05 fitted and 240/280 bhp depending on the year.
I have worked on 4 wrx wagons in the last 6 months all imports ,all with td04's fitted. The version 2 of the sti wagon had a td05 fitted, but it also had 275 bhp
I am sure that the early uk cars also had a td04 fitted which accounted for the 208 bhp, with exception to the austrailian market which used a td05 unit as std,but dont quote me on that ,i am sure i have read it somewhere .

you are almost right the pre facelift UK saloons and wagons both had tdo5's fitted from the factory, only when they got the facelift did they have the tdo4.
