Hi guys, I am new.

I currently own a 2003 4.2 V8 Jaguar XJ Sport.
Although it has 300 BHP, it handles like a barge therefore I will be purchasing an Impreza Sti or GB270.

I have always owned Jags and Beemers but staying in Scotland, I am fed up with RWD and fish-tailing all over the shop.

My question is...

What Impreza is better in your opinions?

I am looking at 06/07/08 Subu 2.5 wrx sti and the 2.0 wrx sti.

The performance figures seem the same but what are the main differences and what is the more reliable?

Any information or opinion would be appreciated to help me choose.

Cant help to much with question as my classic is a fair bit older than either of the ones you mention.

Dont buy a hatch as after it melts the chocolate pistons you will hate scoobs. Go for an04/07 plate jdm 2.0 sti. The jap cars are far supierior.
