Default does anyone know...

what type of resistor, the J1 is...

I want to bypass the Polar Performance Chip, but the J1 resistor has been chopped out.

Do i need to buy another resistor of the same type, or is there another way?

Ive tried the search but have found no propper answers.

The ECU is a V7...

My J1 has been replaced with a plain jumper. This was fitted by Scott.T when i did a part ex with him. I have also in the past, just soldered the ends of what was left of the J1 with no ill effect.

I think any thing will do, but i would suggest a plain piece of wire or a jumper rather than a random resistor.

Thanks for replying mate. So are you saying that i will be ok if i just soldered a piece of wire in its place?

Once ive completed that part of the circuit, will the car run on its std map and not the PP map?

Thanks for your help...

No problem.

Yeah, once you've rejoined the J1 then the ECU will run the factory map. Just pull the PP chip to confirm if you like.
