Default APS and FIMC - Classic

Has anybody got an in wing APS intake and a front mount on a classic?

did you need to cut, move things about or was it fairly simple?

pictures would be very helpful.

I have exactly that and it was a bitch to fit with lots of cutting of the inner wing. Not to mention tha APS filter does not fit to well in the wing and pushes down on the wheel arch liner.

Unfortunately no. We had to take out the mounting bracket for the wheel arch liner as it was pushing the liner in to the wheel well and the tyre was catching it. what we ended up doing was lifting the APS up as high as it would go in the wing which meant more cutting. But in the end it all fitted.

I then cut soem ally plate to fill the hole made in the wing and glueing it on with silicon and a few screws.

nothing tha i have noticed. the wheel arch covers the back and bottom of the filter, and bumper the front.

have been running it like this for the last couple of years now. the filter does get more dirty there, but for the sake of £45 for a new one every year or so isnt to bad i think

So no 'holding back' when accelerating, due to water ingress strangling the filter?
