STI head gasket gone damn thing parts help anyone?????
got 2003 sti type uk, head gasket just gone so whiped engine out but am now trawling the earth for best parts and a reasnable cost thinking of using cosworth head gaskets and head bolt conversion to studs from roger clarke anyone used this stuff let me know any other info or help will be great as have built 1000s of engines but never a flat 4 thnks ryan

your going to modify your block for 14mm head studs? your going to use cosworth gaskets? your going to use RCM for parts and labour? hope you have deep pockets my friend.

They do a standard 11 mm stud conversion and cosworth gaskets yes justneed parts as I am a wrench monkey so can do all work myself but yes pockets are looking empty already

rcm tend to be on the expensive side. would standard studs and a Cometic gasket not do you? are you running big power that you need the extra expense? Lateral Performance will sell this stuff a helluva lot cheaper than RCM.

Cosworth gaskets and cometic are about same price for gaskets and don't want to use standard stretch bolts as they are prone for movement and gasket re going if you run higher boost and I am going to be putting scooby clinics hybrid sc30 turbo on so don't fancy the risk also is better for torqueing the head down no risk of stripping the alu block
