max bhp seen from decat with standard backbox.
I'm on a mission to have a quick, quiet, daily driver stealth classic wagon. The only backbox that is giving me the sound levels and look I want is a STI8 stock backbox mated to a full decat.
With supporting mods I'm just wondering if a standard backbox is capable of flowing about 320bhp ?. Anyone done anything similar or experience ?

A lad on here quite recently had his classic wagon mapped with a few supporting mods and a vf28 turbo with a std sti backbox for the same reasons as yourself and his car made 319 bhp/316 lb/ft,and he was happy with the noise.
Personally a prodrive backbox would be better imho as it is slightly better flowing,and slightly louder than the std o/e system.
