Hi guys u have 2 engines 1 from a sti 555 and one from a wrx ra the first to picks are the sti 555

I read some where is says it has to have like square markings like hatches




here is the ra engine with 3 pics





i have seen other engines and they just have 1 line going across these have the hatch markings

You have taken pictures of the cylinder heads so not much use.

From what I can see of the blocks, neither are closed deck blocks.

 

as you look at the front of the engine, just above the crank, there is the crank position sensor, is there hatchings marks behind that?

 

im not sure will have to check

If your just selling the blocks be better to remove heads and then we can be certain..

What happened to the head in the last picture, how did it become holed...

Dont think thats a hole in the head mate. Thats the half moon gasket.
