Default Bug eye morrette seem dim

Hi all
i have got the morrette headlights on my 02 wrx bug but the dipped lights dont seem bright at all (they are hids) i can probably see 30m infront of me if that!!
i have lined my car next to my brothers car to see the comparison between my lights and his (his car a clio with £100 4000k hid kit from hids4you) and my lights are no way near as bright(they seem to be a cheap n nasty kit), i can look straight at them without blinding myself.
so what im asking is is it a common thing with the morrette light set up or is it the hid kit?
thanks in advance

sparky

Nowt to do with the Morettes which are about the best light units you can get for the money...............assuming yours ARE genuine Morettes? And not cheapo e-bay Chinese copies?

Anyway, it's more likley to be the HIDs themselves.

Default morette headlight buzzing

I got a set of morette headlights for my 2002 bugeye wrx wagon.Could someone advise me why a buzzing is coming from one of the passenger side relays i think it must be connected to the full beam wiring as when i disconnect the lead with the fuse in connected to the battery the buzzing stops.I got the lights second hand connected them up there was no earth wire could someone advise me on that issue as i thought with connecting the lights to exsisting wiring it would be earthed anyway does the lights need an separate earth.Could someone read this please and suggest answers.Cheers.

You seem to have missed the point that there are two switched earth wires and one 12v supply...

Without understanding how the wiring works you can't diagnose what's going wrong.

WRX is also different to an STI.

Both sides wiring this way will enable you to have both beams on when on high beam is selected like on the sti.I dont know if you had connectors when you bought the lights but you can buy male h4 connectors on ebay that will plug into female terminals on the car so you dont have to cut your original wires. This wiring is for non hid you dont have ballasts do you ?
