Confirm if MY06 WRX STi PPP ECUs are 'locked'
I've just picked up a newer MY06 WRX STi PPP and have not been able to extract the ECU maps as I usually do with the newage upto MY05. Being a MY06 DBW model it doesn't have the flash block connectors [ref 1] like previous newages. Still connecting the 'test' mode connectors I can't extract the ROM using ECUFlash using the MY2005-2007 STi flashing method [ref 2].
I'm assuming that given it's a PPP the EcuTech guys now lock the ECUs. Can anyone confirm if this is as expected, thus need to get it unlocked first before having a 'play'?
Note, I'm able to perform realtime logging fine using my Tactrix OpenPort 1.3 cable and read/reflash my other previous MY03 WRX and MY05 STi PPP cars.
