Default how can i tell if car is chipped

just a quickie i have a my 95 wrx import with standard air box and also has uprated exhaust and dump valve,according to boost gauge car is runing 1.2,is there any way of checking ecu to see if its chipped and were is ecu located and the car has no manaul boost controller under the bonnet.dont have funds to put it on rolling road at the moment,to see whats gion on.

Passenger footwell, remove carpet - kick plate to reveal ECU box, chip or plug-in will be obvious if you open up and have a look.

if the cars running 1.2 bar its more than likely chipped, the best thing to do is have a look inside the ecu which is located in the passenger foot well under a metal plate remove the ecu take the lid off and post a picture up so we can advise.

so is the ecu located below the glovebox or to the left level with the door behind the trim

Ecu is in the passengers footwell(floor area) ,pull back the carpet and you will see a metal kickplate ,held on with 4 x 10 mm bolts,remove them to reveal your ecu unplug then remove the remaining 2 x 10 mm nuts

When you have removed the ecu ,you will need to unscrew the 6 x small screws(3 in each side) and open up the ecu. If it has a chip fitted it will look something similar to this:
