bottom end
I have had my WRX for about 2 weeks now and the bottom end is most definately gone, i PX my old scooby in for this and as far as the website states it comes with a 6month warranty, where do i stand with this if he decides hes not going to cough up?

Essentially you can probably have him bang to rights if he refuses

Worse comes to the worse you can take him to small claims.
However you need to go see him ASAP and ask him to remedy the issue - then take it to another garage right away - get them to inspect and give a written and dated statement saying that a) the bottom end is shagged, and b) it would be unreasonable to expect that to happen in 2 weeks from it being sold.
That will come in very handy if the chap you got it from decides to fight you.

regardless of what warranty you have, even if you dont have one at all, if you bought this car from a garage by law you have a 28day warranty, get in touch with the garage asap, if no joy just tell them your going to seek legal advice, they will act on this because they already know by law the car has to be fit for purpose for at least 28 days

because mine was a UK Spec and i wanted to go for a stronger engine / gearbox to run what i wanted to run safer, which bit me right in the ***.. He has agreed to repair it but i have to get the car too him. Best quote i got is £150 to get it there as the AA wont take it.

because the AA already took me home... after 2 weeks of ****, the most ive got is them paying for the labour and 250 quid towards a new engine.. the rest is on me. :@

where does it state in the law that the vehicle must be fit for 28 days as im in a similar situation! my 2001 bug eye has had an engine rebuilt by the previous owner, he px it then i bought it of a car sales forecourt, dealer said that the engine was under warrenty from previous guy, ive noticed a slight knock so phoned the garage who completed the re-built, he answer was no warrenty as that was for previous owner!!
