Default Limp mode please need a reply

Hi folks, i would be greatfull of some help please,

1st of all car is a 1996 wrx 260ps verison 2,

the weekend my fuel pump went up the spout and resulted in me driving around a mile with a very lumpy car, anyway have changed fuel pump this morning and car runs like a dream apart from no boost i have an avc-r and the highest it read tro was -21 checked my pipes there ok checked settings all as should be, all i can assume is the car has gone into limp mode, it does produce some boost as my dv blows off but it is a small amount,

does this sound like limp mode to you guys

how do i get it out is it an ecu re-set with the blk and green connectors?

any help would be great

thanks Mark

That doesn't sound like limp mode.

Could your AVC-R be faulty? if you could hear a small amount of venting through the DV then that means manifold pressure was positive and yet your AVC-R is reading -21.

i would of thought youd get a cel light if was an ecu based fault. i had a issue with some sensors on my 95 260ps wrx. it drove like a dream up to 5k, then it would cut out and not go above 5k. that is what i think limp home mode is. i had to drive the car 200ml back home like that.

ok so i thinksumat is up as if i set avcr to b which has a 1.15bar setting i hit 5k and wham it is like a fuel cut but the settting has always been like that with no worries, setting a is fine...........i wonder though as the new fuel pump i have fitted is a lot smaller than the 1 i took out around half the size...............
