Can you buy new standard OE turbos in this country if so where or can the VF series be reconditioned?

Car is a Type R version 4 (think the turbo is either a VF23 or 24?)

 

Main dealers sell turbos

 

Problem is though I don't believe that either of the turbos were fitted to UK cars and I'm not sure if dealers will get arsey dealing with an import.

 

A friend of mine works at a main dealer and he told me if ever I need a turbo or anything, in those exact words, just see him. Whether or not he realised mine is also a type R is another story! Worth giving them a call though
