Default Engine re-build!!!

ive put a deposit down on a 2001 impreza wagon wrx!! it has just had a engine re-build and has a 12 month warranty, im taking a big gamble as i have only seen photos of the car as im serving overseas!! any noises i should be aware of or tell tale easy to spot faults? the dealer im buying it from told me its done 150 miles since re-build and requires another 850 miles to run it in, is this number sufficient? is motorway miles ok for running in?? thanks for any advice

Ask who re-built the engine!!!!!!!!!1 As you will see on here there are good and disasterous rebuilds. Once you know who speak to them with car details any errors could be wortrh getting deposit back.

id be very sceptical if its had a reground crank, alot of engine builders say scrap the crank and use new,u might find the boost turned down while the car is bieng run in to help the runing in process,
