It's a fairly straightforward swap - then you just need to get the TGV related fault codes disabled on the ecu.

Bug WRX with a few mods running methanol injection all mapped by Bob Rawle with Olly Clark in the driving seat .......just never got around to swapping anything inside the engine or the TGV's LOL

do you need a remap when these are removed? What are the advantages of removal?

The butterflies can impede flow at high BHP and the little beggers can stick and throw a CEL.......as emissions are very important I think the ECU even sticks the car in limp mode (but I might be wrong)..

Like the air pump idea on hatches and the bright switch............useless !!

How to say, best if you can source TGV free manifold which is from spec C or JDM STi v8,these are TGV free manifold

I would go with TGV delete if you are planning go above 350bhp,some people running still TGV with 400bhp and are happy.

I have a spare set of Tumblers (2002) which I could port for you to fit?

But as Jura says the Spec-C manifold is a better bet as it frees up space for bigger intake pipes etc. However there are issues with fuel rails!

You don't need to buy a fancy manifold........standard bug/blob STi maifold has no TGV's.

TGV's were a WRX only thing........like a cat in the up-pipe and an EGT sensor

Not really a re-map just need to diable the CEL for missing TGV's on the ECU....dead simple and about £20.
