Default JapSpeed front mount Intercooler

Has anyone here had any experience fitting one of these bad boys to Hawkeye Impreza ?

http://www.japspeed.co.uk/Subaru-Imp...t/p-24-73-540/

If so am i correct in saying you need to replace the standard air box and standard dump valve ?

Any advise much appreciated.

Same as most FMIC's mate.... I had the Japspeed one on my Bugeye.

The Piping fits a treat, no un-welcome suprises, Yes you will need to get an Seduction kit and a new DV, or if your turbo is up to it just blank it off hehe

You are going to have to do some chopping of the front bumper though and can be quite hazzadous..... We ended up in A&E fitting mine LOL

Nice one mate, thanks for the feedback.

I had read up about having to chop the bumper slightly. There is a motorsports garage right next door who i am hoping will do all the handy work. Just wanted to make sure there was no hidden fitments / costs etc.

im not a big engine modder but this certainly seems to be a nice little addition without having to modify too many bits and pieces.

It does show the same intercooler being mounted to a hawkeye in japspeed mag.

I think you have to modify the inside of the front bumper.

You'll be getting the map checked after it's fitted, once you?

And have you checked out prices with Harvey before you buy that one?

Every single bend on my Bugeye was spot on, there was no messing about and it all went together very quickly.... with the exception of cutting the bumper. They say trim the bumper but you do actually have to take a LOT out of it, took friggin ages to get the bumper on porperly and I swear it was 1/3 of it's original weight LOL

You will need a remap as previously discussed elsewhere
