Default Purge control valve

Imported 1995 wrx impreza classic.

I'm looking for the PCV, in the Subaru manual it states it's behind the power steering pump between the coolant manifold and the underside of the inlet manifold.

Well it's just not there. I've recently had the inlet manifold off and defo wasn't under there. It's not like it's been removed as I have no rogue connectors hanging around this area and the vacumb lines are all still intake.

I've seen what it should look like from a diagram in the Subaru manual and I certainly have not got one attached to my engine.

So assuming mine was built between 16:45 and 17:00 on a Friday afternoon any ideas where else it would have been put on the car?

I could always be tracing the wrong wire
