engine earth strap

Default engine earth strap

hi does anyone know where the engine earth strap goes on a 96 impreza?? i thaught it went on bell housing bolts but it doesnt and im stumped???

It should have a rectangular shaped bracket on the end of the cable, and attaches to the engine/gearbox under the top bell-housing bolt on the passenger side of the engine (the top bolt securing the starter motor)

If the bracket is missing, you can attach it directly to the inlet manifold under any of the available M8 bolts.
