Default uk wagon running rich loosing boost helpppp

i have a 94 uk wagon, was running fine, then seemed to run as a non turbo...drove home turned of then went back out and the car then had some boost but ran really rich and lumpy now, when try to drive it kinda kangaroos and stutters...when revved on the spot under no load it revs fine but is sooty rich and lumpy...this has been of rd now for 2 months and i still dont know whats wrong with it...and no ecu light/fault is showing...

the car is full de cat,tdo4,polar chip, air filter,255 pump and thats it...

i have swapped lamda in d/pipe for a known good one, tried air flow meter...its really got me baffled...anyone got any help good advice...

Check all the ignition system - coils, plugs and gaps etc..

Plugs, remove and check, ideally as you are running higher boost use PFBR7's gapped to 0.65mm.

Coil packs, remove and check for damaged ends, under the rubber boot, again as you have increased the boost these may be breaking down.

Do an ECU check, see if it tells you anything.

Is the lambda not in the drivers side exhaust manifold and the EGT sensor is in the downpipe. I could be wrong on that though.

A large boost leak post turbo would cause rich running and poor performance.

As big d suggests then, be looking for a fault in the boost system. Hose off/split/blocked, BCS inoperative.

If running the std top mount intercooler, take it off and look at the pipe connection underneath the intercooler, it is very common for the rubber seal at this point to pop out due to the bolts working loose causing massive boost leak and very rich running, but to be honest you would hear it.

Have you looked at the pipe under the intercooler if running the std top mount.

Cheers Iain

Pressure sensor is obviously boost system related so, yes it will effect the running.

Code 45. It can be any 1 of 3 things causing the fault or a combination of.
1. Boost Control Solenoid.
2. MAP Sensor.
3. Pressure Exchange Solenoid.

All located on the same bracket as i'm sure you are aware.

thats weird...i would have thought it would have broken the engine, but as it ran ok ish would not of deamed that it had jumped the teeth...anyone in herts with
1. Boost Control Solenoid.
2. MAP Sensor.
3. Pressure Exchange Solenoid.

all the bits on the drivers side turret...as might still need them...
