Default 2bung or not 2bung

I have a 98 sti. With a stainless downpipe and a full blitz nur spec system will having the bung in or out make any difference other than the noise? thanks vc

i did get told it reduces the flow,but not sure how true that is,
i also have the blitz nur spec system on my car lovely looking
and great sounding but it has started to annoy me latey

Same as i have, but have to bung it at 5am for my early shifts, annoys the locals...lol..

same here bung in for me as its so loud bung out i cant drive for more than 5 mins,
does make a noticeable difference though engine revs a lot free'er bung out but feels more responsive off boost bung in i think

Basic principle of speed is how quick you can get air into the engine,and how quick you can expell the waste gases,so with the bung in it will restrict the amount of exhaust gases as well as create more back pressure,but well worth it with the nur spec r imho as it is too loud
