Default Brake fluid

Just wondering what grade of brake fluid will be in my UK 2000 Turbo (MY 2000) Standard car with no mods, only ever previously worked on by dealer.

Just going to change the front calipers for re-furbed ones, and suspect I'll need to top it up.

Will putting a different grade fluid in do any harm, just short term? I'll get all new stuff in it when I get the timing belt and other bits done in the next few weeks.

Either DOT 4 or DOT 5.1 (they do mix).

But rather than topping it up why not replace it?

I only have about 100ml of dot 4 now, and will be changing it anyway in a few weeks time, as per 1st post
