AVCR in gear boost
I´m a bit stuck on setting up my AVCR for the dragrace on Sunday.
I have played quite a bit with the settings of startduty and as well with the gearspecific boostcontrolling (numbers 1-9 to reach boost faster or slower but more controlled).
Now it´s possible to reach targetboost of 1.7bar in 1-3rd gear, but in 4th it tappers from 1.7bar@6500 to 1.5bar@7200 and in 5th it´s worse because it drops from 1.7bar@6000rpm to 1.35bar @7000.
How can I get the targetboost to redline in the upper gears?
3rd looks near perfect and in 1st and 2nd I only reach the target near redline, maybe because of less load in these gears.
I´m talking about reaching the targetboost when draging the car with a launch at 5000rpm in 1st, no big time between the gearchanges, just as fast as I´m able to change gears, like I´m doing at the strip!
Any advice would be fine, many thanks in advance!!!

I tried to post the logfile of my PowerFC, but the letters were shuffled and it was not possible to read, will try a bit later.
My settings look like this.
No scrambleswitch attached!
Boostsetting 1.4bar
Duty to 4000 90% then dropping to 61%@5500 and going back to 74%@6000
Learngear in all gears X
Solenoidspeed in gear 1-2=7 gear 3-4=6 gear 5=5
Maybe I have to lower the whole duty to get a stable boost and no spikes between 5000 and 6000rpm (depends on the gear I´m in)?
As when I up the duty from 6000rpm on, I might get overshooting boost to 2bar or more in the lower gears and maybe even in the middle in 3rd-5th...

Hi mate, what is your peak target boost, ie is it 1.7 Bar or 1.4, I only ask as you have quoted both. Also have you got your start duty for eack of the gears and have you carried out the gear judge setup?
Cheers Iain

Sorry I will have to look up the startduty setting and yes the gearjudge is set perfect without taking care of the 6th gear, as I won´t need it on the dragstrip, hopefully!
The target is set to 1.4 and I reach 1.7bar with this setting, that´s what I want!

I left 6th away, as I normally don´t use the dragsetup for the normal driving and no need for 1.8bar boost on our streets, except there is a socalled supercar near!
I get real good and stable boost of 1.7bar all the way to redline in 3rd gear, there my startduty is set to 0.
and in 1st and 2nd it´s +12 +8 if I remember right and 4th and 5th -3/-8.
Maybe I need to eliminate the boostspikes in the middle, but it is at 6000 in 4th and at about 5000rpm in 5th.
Thanks for the link, will follow these instructions for the streetsetup and maybe I can use this "learning" to perfect the dragsetup.
I live in Austria not Australia, so not as far away as you think!
It´s a WRX MY00 with S206 turbo and I already shortened the actuatorarm already 3 turns... the actuator is a 2bar type.
