Oil sump ?
Can you run a car without a sump but with a oil tank instead?
Ive seen a couple japan race spec'd cars running a system without a sump and just wondered how it was done.

That's a dry sump system, as sold by Zen and ( probably ) RCMS...
Externally mounted scavenge pump, small sump and an external oil tank.
