no power?

Default no power?

hi all new to this subaru melarki....
got wagon 1997 turbo 2000 it has a front mount intercooler and a uprated fuel pump (or so im told) i have had some real heavy rain the last few days and after not driving it for 2 days or so went to start it and it missed like buggary it had new plugs 2 weeks prior so i cheked all electrical conections for moistior etc . no joy so i bought a new coil pack started up first time and ran as normal ...... i took it down the road changed into second i could hear the turbo spool up and then when it should come onto boost it just seem to die like no power woudnt rev any higher and just made like a poping burbling sound til i let off any ideas please?

Could be ECU need resetting. Or could be head gasket on its way out.

Could just be a pipe come lose or split have a check round all pipes.

yeah checked all hoses (that i could see/reach) no leaks no coolant lost and no mixing with the oil ...
as for ecu reseting? why would this be sorry to sound simple but im not famillia with these cars also how would i go about this? thanks again

check all your boost pipes that go to the turbo and intercooler.

OE airbox or cone filter fitted?

filter of the coned variaty lol

In that case, check that the bonnet vent blanking plate is fitted above the cone and that the cone is not soggy wet, hence drowning the MAF

thanks for info guys booked it in to a local garage who has some experiance rallying scoobs when i drove over to him this morning it stated up and drove fine i took it there and he did a diagnostic thing with the check engine light it thrown up all sorts so he sugested to take it home take off the power lead and leave it over night then in the morning take it for a steady 15 min run then take it back to him so he can read the codes again .
so thanks for all yor sujestions .
one mor thing can anyone sugest where i can have a remap ? im in someset j22 m5 thanks
