Default engine parts advice plz

right hopefully found a decent sti v8 block just waiting for bloke to get back to me and ill fetch it if any good. thers a set set of v4 sti heads and cams on the ebay, is there anything else ill require or advised to upgrade? obviously decent cambelt kit gaskets etc. its off into a my96 2000. thanks

i would use newage JDM STI heads

Then you will need the STi gubbins to run the AVCS !

but not with sti 3/4 heads as thats on v7 heads onwards???? well so i believe

AVCS started on all jap newage cars from the bugeye.... WRX Jap bugeye on the inlet only though.

Have a read here, the heads fit OK but the manifild stud pattern is different for the later versions, As far as I read it the V3/4 heads should mate to your manifold.

I misread the OP too........ I thought There was an STi Block going into a UK Bug WRX.
