Plumbing in a boost gauge
Hi all,
I've fitted my boost gauge and all seems to be working, but I just wanted to check that the line i've used is ok.
It's the thin rubber hose you can see in the picture below. It goes from actuator to the turbo, and already has a T piece plumbed in the middle. I've taken a feed from this tube to the sensor for the boost gauge. Is this ok?
Thanks!

Think you can fit it there but no need with Scoobys. On Classics there was a spare nipple on the inlet manifold designed for the very purpose. On new age the common thing to do is to tee into the pipe from the inlet manifold to the dump valve.
Unfortunately can't see pics at work due to our web filtering software. Personally I'd rather maintain the integrity of all the wastegate control pipework, as it's function is quite important, and fit the feed for a boost gauge elsewhere. But I'm sure what you've done is probably okay

There was already a feed from this pipe, so have spliced into this additional pipe, rather than adding another cut into the turbo / actuator pipe.
Seems to be working, so hopefully it's ok
