I have one fitted on mine, I got it as a relacement for the OE 2 port which was damaged, I realised just swapping it may cause problems, so I fitted it and left it disconnected, setting a low boost limit with a bleed valve as a temp measure till it gets remapped, anyway I couldn't resist connecting it up to see what it would do, the answer is over boost like crazy, topping out at about 1.7 bar!!! the car already as an ECUtek map fitted by it's previous owner so I not sure of the previous boost setting (but I don't think it would be 1.7bar) I never ran it on the OE 2 port due to it been damaged when I got the car so I still don't know for sure what the differences between the two are , the point is that 2 & 3 port solenoid don't behave the same and mapping is a must to avoid potential overboost issues.

No need to cut the loom ,simply use a needle and remove the 2 pins from the 3 port, then ease out the rubber bung in the base of the plug.Connect the pin (red wire)off your 3 port into the existing plug going to the yellow wire .Then connect the black wire off your 3 port to the black/white wire on your o/e plug, then get some electrical tape and tape securely.
No need to solder because if you should have problems with your 3 port in the future(packs up/fails) or would like to change back to a 2 port it is simply a case of pulling out the 2 pins and replacing with another unit.As the wires do not move, they only carry electrical current ,eletrical tape is all you need.
