Does anyone know how interchangeable ECU's are ? I suspect mine has died and will need a replacement. Am I limited to finding an early UK brain or will others fit? If anyone knows of a reliable source for S/H ECU's that would be even better.

Try the breakers. ECUs tend to be about £100.

You cannot use much later model year ECUs - certainly not 97 onwards.
