oil drain plug size
hi all
after shellin out for oils filters etc i went to do an oil change on my immport 94 wrx and i found that the oil drain plug has been rounded off!
what size is the plug supposed to be? 16 or 17mm? hard to tell now!
whats the easiest way to remove it as its rounded off?

supposed to be 17mm. is there anyway you can fit a 17mm 6 sided socket onto it rather than the standard 12 point which will slip round quite easilly. if not im affraid either find someone with an extractor socket or get handy with the hammer and chissell but be care full as there only thin sumps

Yea it's a 17mm, if it's badly rounded could you knock a 16mm socket onto it?
Just changed my oil today, first time by me, and the plug was in pretty tight, so if yours is as tight then cutting a slot to use a screwdriver etc might not work, but could be worth a try.
