Default dump valve failure making my car run like crap

hi fello scooby netters,
right i have had a slight hesitation prob for a while now it happens under light throttle between 2500-4000rpm.... well to elimonate this prob ive checked everything that would normaly spring to mind first so far ive replaced plugs, leads maf, fuel filter, oil + filter, check all the pipes etc, cleaned boost solenoid, cleaned iscv, also cleaned d.v.........all to no improvement but had to do it so i could rule them out....anyway whilst driving home last night i built up revs\ speed slowly with light throttle and soon as i got between 2500-4000rpm i could hear hissing from the d.v so oviously i have a faulty d.v its a bailyes piston type... why could this fail as there is not much to em and has any1 else had such a problem......cheers all who read this

I suggested this to you about 3 weeks ago here. It's the spring in the DV that is failing/weakening. Chuck the Baileys in the bin and fit a OE recirc.
You can just remove the Baileys and block off the hole and run with no DV, you have a TD turbo so it should not hurt until you get the OE item fitted

And this thread, currently up in General
