Undo the front and rear allen key plugs and then line the front and back pistons so that you can see the rear gudegon pin through the front hole and use a long screwdriver to smack it out the back. And then go to the back and knock the front one out.

You will need a torch and remember to remove the circlip closest to the hek plug.

Alternatively make yourself a tool either using a piece of 10mmish steel bar or use a old scissor jack handle and make one to suit.

Hope this helps....there should be plenty of thread on this though mate try searching.

I heard that some people use a long 'expanding' bolt like the ones used to fit UPVC door frames ?

They have a plastic sleeve that pushes into the centre hole in the gudgeon pin, then when you tighten the screw / bolt the sleeve expands and grips the sides. Presumably then pulls out with a pair of vice grips bringing the gudgeon pin with it ?

I use a 12" extension bit holder that I bought for a power screwdriver, dirt cheap off ebay and done the job now on two engines (three tomorrow !)

I just made a small diameter rod up with a hook at the end, worked a treat as the pins arn't that tight.

A heat gun on the pistons helps too, It just expands them enough so the pin slides out real easy.
